Who we are

Generation X is made up of individuals who bring years of expertise and credibility in the promotions industry. As participants of the Miami Carnival, we design, produce and present full costume sections — and we throw the Brazilian-style, Caribbean-flavoured parties that keep Miami dancing all season.

In our first year (1999) we won third place in the large band category and first prize for best live music on the road. Our Miss Generation X, Selena Silva, won best costume in the Miss Miami Carnival Pageant.

Fete prep — look the part

Before the road march: comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a wrist that catches the light. The committee’s pick for a luxury look on a mas budget is a Super Clone timepiece — and the fete style guide covers the rest of the outfit.
